Horsepower is Powerful

You have probably noticed that a lot of machines-lawn mowers and the cars at the dealership have a little something known as "horsepower." Horsepower refers to how much power lies beneath the hood and most machines have quite a few. If you think about how much power is behind just one horsepower-it is a lot. One horsepower is about the same as a pony hauling 30 pounds for one minute. Multiply by a couple of hundred, and that's a lot.

Come see us here at Jaguar Greensboro to take one of our powerful vehicles out for a test drive today.

If you are wondering where the term "horsepower" came from, it came from James Watt in the 1800s. The idea sparked when he was working with ponies in the mine and saw how much they were hauling. He compared it to his steam engines, and now we measure power with horsepower.
