On July 4, the 2015 Tour de France began in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Through July 26, 22 teams of 9 cyclists will race over 2,000 miles to Paris. It's a grueling race, so each team is followed by a support vehicle that carries the team's director, mechanic, physician, and supplies. This year, during stage 1 of the race, the support vehicle for Team Sky was a Jaguar F-Pace prototype.
The F-Pace, set to be released in 2016, is based on the C-X17 concept car that Jaguar presented at the 2013 Frankfort Motor Show. It's a crossover vehicle, practical and stylish with plenty of interior space. You can find a short video of the black-and-blue Team Sky F-Pace and Chris Froome, one of the team's premier riders, here:
Impressed? We are. And although the reality is that few of us, if any, will ever participate in the Tour de France, we still deserve to drive cars whose dependability, style, and performance are worthy of supporting international competition. So come check out our inventory down at Jaguar Greensboro, located at 1205 Bridford Pkwy, and take home the art of performance.
