One of the most common reasons your car won't start is that there's a problem with the battery. If this is the case, you need to get the battery checked out as soon as possible. But to get your car started so you can drive it, you will need to jumpstart it. The staff at Jaguar Greensboro wants you to know how to do that properly.

To jumpstart a car, you need another vehicle positioned nose to nose or side by side with yours. Make sure both cars are turned off and attach jumper cables to the battery, starting with the red (positive) first and then the black (negative). Once the jumper cables are attached properly, start the car that is doing the jump. Let it run for a few minutes before attempting to start the car being jumped. If it doesn't start, give it a few more minutes.
