If you dislike driving after dark because of the irritating lights from motorists behind you reflecting into your eyes from your rearview mirror, a new technology just might be the solution to your problem.
Auto-dimming mirrors contain a clear gel that sits between two panes of glass. When the light gauge in the mirror senses a bright light, it will automatically dispense a small electric shock to the clear gel. This begins a chain reaction chemical response that darkens the gel, allowing it to absorb oncoming light.
